NatureAlpha Supports The Nature Conservancy to Expand Access to Geospatial Conservation Science Data for Nature-Positive Decision Making

London, 15 July 2026 — NatureAlpha, an AI-powered fintech platform delivering science-based environmental risk insights to global capital markets, today announced support for The Nature Conservancy (TNC)'s initiative to make high-quality conservation science data openly accessible, through a shared geospatial science data platform. The effort aims to accelerate nature-positive decision making across global financial and policy systems.

Nature degradation has become a systemic risk to global economic stability, with an estimated $44 trillion of economic value threatened by biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse. At the same time, regulatory frameworks such as the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) are accelerating demand for robust, geospatially grounded data to measure, monitor, and disclose nature-related risks and opportunities.

Today, many institutions lack access to authoritative, science-based spatial datasets that show where economic activity intersects with at-risk ecosystems. The new initiative between NatureAlpha and TNC aims to fill this gap, which currently limits the ability for investors, companies, and policymakers to understand their exposure to nature-related risk and take action.

"Capital markets cannot manage what they cannot see," said Dr. Vian Sharif, Founder and President of NatureAlpha. "By supporting The Nature Conservancy's work to make reliable, trusted conservation science data openly available, we can help ensure that decision-makers have access to the environmental intelligence needed to redirect capital towards outcomes that support nature and long-term economic value."

"The lack of access to well curated conservation science data relinquishes opportunities to leverage these datasets and methodologies in advancing our 2030 conservation goals," said Zach Ferdaña, Director of Conservation & Geospatial Systems of The Nature Conservancy. "Internal and external access to TNC science products is essential to leveraging them towards these goals. With NatureAlpha as a strategic partner, this initiative aims at building a first-of-its-kind geospatial science data sharing platform containing our most curated data in support of critical conservation decisions."

An initial pilot phase has already established a successful workflow for delivering authoritative conservation datasets into NatureAlpha's Geoverse platform. Over the next two years, the initiative will focus on advancing spatial data governance, strengthening enterprise-level data pipelines, and expanding access to trusted geospatial insights for public and private sector partners globally.

This work advances TNC's 2030 conservation goals and aligns with NatureAlpha's mission to ensure that capital markets work for nature by improving transparency, accountability, and the availability of open environmental intelligence.
