NatureAlpha Launches Free Nature Risk Tool: Geoverse Explorer

London, 4 March 2026 - NatureAlpha, a leader in biodiversity and nature risk analytics, today announced the launch of its complimentary, open-to-all nature data analysis tool, Geoverse Explorer.

It has been designed to enable a wide range of users - from corporations to public and private equity - to take their first vital steps into nature risk analysis.  Geoverse Explorer will equip users to complete high-level materiality assessments, identify priority hotspots and support stewardship, with all outputs aligned with the TNFD’s LEAP-framework.

Complementing the launch, NatureAlpha has developed a free onboarding programme to prepare users to access and apply these new insights. Regular guided digital tuition and customised practical applications will result in business-ready, tailored, tangible outputs for participants, spanning draft materiality assessment frameworks to corporate nature risk overviews - ultimately enabling organisations to turn nature intelligence into meaningful nature action.

Through the delivery of the complimentary Geoverse Explorer tool and support, NatureAlpha wants to remove barriers and democratise access to nature intelligence, while aiming to integrate nature and biodiversity into core decision-making amongst businesses, financial institutions and allocators of capital.  The launch comes in the wake of IPBES-12, which demonstrated the urgent need for businesses globally to take meaningful nature action, or risk long-term growth and resilience.

Geoverse Explorer offers distinctive equity and private asset workflows, serving multiple uses and audiences and is powered by NatureAlpha’s nature risk platform, Geoverse 2.0, offering users the same unprecedented levels of data granularity, reliability, coverage and its enhanced materiality matrix.

Vian Sharif, Founder and President at NatureAlpha, commented:

“Nature is infrastructure. The launch of Geoverse Explorer comes at a time where momentum around the financial materiality of nature risk is accelerating rapidly. IPBES-12 highlighted the indispensability for businesses to manage their natural world risk, or face the consequences - while providing scientific backing to materiality.
“Against this backdrop, we’ve launched Geoverse Explorer, open to all, to prompt companies to take that first vital step on their nature risk journey and help protect long-term growth and resilience. Applying this data in ways that makes sense for financial and corporate professionals, is critical - which is why we have supplemented the launch with a comprehensive onboarding programme to enable practical use of the data and to help clients navigate this easily. As we look ahead to the release of the exposure draft of ISSB’s global nature reporting standards at COP17, the necessity for organisations to prepare for future regulatory demands will only intensify.”

Geoverse Explorer is the latest in a series of product developments from NatureAlpha, designed to help businesses, financial institutions and investors reduce the burden, cost and time intensity of managing and mitigating their nature risk - including automated LEAP-aligned nature reporting, in January and the launch of its Nature Value at Risk (NVaR) framework, linking nature-related risks to financial outcomes, in September 2025.
